It is being treated to new batteries (yes these have two), some fresh fuel, a wash and then it will head up to @northtoauction .

I recently spent a few days living with a 2019 VW

I recently spent a few days living with a 2019 VW Jetta Comfortline with about 100,000kms on it. Perfect fuel for a #CarNerdCapsuleReview. This car would have cost about $25,000 when new and honestly, these would not be at the top of my recommendation list for someone in 2019 and still wouldn't be. I do love the infotainment, the always willing 1.4 turbo 4 pot making 184 lb feet of torque. I am grateful that VW Canada specced heated seats and mirrors as standard. Those are a must for Canadians. The uppers of the doors are soft touch and the windows are all one-touch as they should be. That is about everything I like about this car.

The seats aren't supportive, the interior is full of plastic that is generally hard with the typical hard plastic trim all VW badged MQB cars seem to have right where the driver's right knee rests. The ride quality is terribly bouncy and rolly bordering on nauseating for rear seat passengers as it is in all sixth and seventh generation Jettas that are not GLIs. The dashboard squeaked and rattled despite the presence of a visible vibration-reducer.

When compared to the pricier, smaller, better-finished Golf, I understand why some people choose the larger Jetta. But given that both cars are made in the same plant, it is still a disappointment when the Jetta feels like a car designed by people trying to build a rolling Big Mac and then having it assembled by an apathetic group of workers. The complete opposite of how Golfs of the past decade feel rock-solid, nimble, and wonderfully quiet.

Until the sixth generation Jetta, the Golf was simply a Jetta sedan. But those days are gone. Now it is big and cheap.

Jettas are larger than Golfs and built to focus on consumers in the Americas, China, and India. Golfs are built to European tastes.

While making the Jetta to North American tastes made sense in 2010 we now live in a world of mostly global lineups. It feels old in some ways.So if you are shopping for a VW compact let me help you find a great Golf, and if you insist on a Jetta, I will find you a great GLI that drives like a German sedan should.

The Buick GNX was a once in a generation sinister

The Buick GNX was a once in a generation sinister machine from an era where there was so much infighting between the divisions at General Motors that the team at Buick sandbagged the numbers of this turbo V6 2 door saloon with a rated 276hp and 360tq when it was actually 300 and 420 when the most powerful Corvette only made 240hp. Only 547 Grand National GNXs were built so this is likely a clone or tribute build.

That being said, it is an epic slepper, and it looks wonderfully sinester and perfect outside a hot dog cart.

I am a fan of these to say the least. Based on tge European market VW #GTE it is a rather sporty, practical, turbo plug in hybrid hatchback.

This one needs new brakes, a trans fluid change and with nearly 190,000kms on it,has effectively driven halfway to the moon.

Still, drove beautifully, and the dealer is only looking for $24,000.

Overall, it has potential to be a solid deal, if it can be purchased with the above work completed.

These are modern classics but if you know what you're looking for you can still find deals like this one.

Well it has been modified in some somewhat outrageous ways with aftermarket stereo setup, some very fast and furious headlights, and some proper #SexSpec stereo equipment, it is a fundamentally well cared for and well optioned vehicle.

These manual, coupe #M3 of the #E46 generation are only going up in value and they do sell for premium. But for people like my client who love bold matched interiors that are coordinated with the exterior paint there are examples of cars like this one which can be had for a bargain price.

The lighting and stereo system will likely be reverted to stock, for perhaps treated to a rather clean looking setup from @bavsound if the original speakers cannot be installed cleanly.

The big box of amplifiers in the trunk as well as the radar detector system and other speeding countermeasures will be removed and sold to help recoup some of the cost of the purchase of the vehicle.

Whether or not the aftermarket red headliner will remain red or perhaps be dyed back to factory gray / black by a local upholsterer will be determined at a later date.

Because the subframe, engine bearings, and #VANOS system have already been done client was able to purchase this car knowing exactly what he was getting and a pretty good idea of what it will cost to get it reverted back to a more neutral stock appearance.
